Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the benefits of a Job Hazard/Safety Analysis
  2. Aware of the basic steps of a JHSA
  3. Learn how to identify/spot hazards or potential hazards at the workplace
  4. Identify control measures and steps to eliminate or minimize such hazards
  5. Apply the learning experience and concepts at their workplace

Resource Person

Mah Ting Keong holds a degree in Bachelors of Sciences in Chemical Engineering from the University of Glamorgan, UK. He has worked over 17 years in the environmental, health & safety field in Malaysia and United Kingdom. Ting Keong is a registered competent person under the Factory & Machine Regulations 1989 and is also a registered Safety & Health officer under the OSHA Regulations 1997. He has presented many papers at the Safety & Health conferences on OSHA 1994 and ISO 14000 amongst others.
