Introduction

Good Manufacturing Practices are actually the procedures agreed upon by some 40 over countries that come together to discuss matters pertaining to food - safety, regulations, standards practices under the umbrella of WHO specifically under Codex Alimentarius.

The objective of setting out these procedures is to ensure that and acceptable standards of practices are followed all over the world when it comes to food productions. Therefore, certain guidelines are set to ensure that food industries adhered to the planned approved guidelines.

During the course, participants will be exposed to the requirements of GMP as set out by Codex Alimentarius. It is always an advantage this knowledge is acquired prior to the establishment of any factory so that guidelines with regard to factory building can be applied.
