Objectives

The old notion that IQ is the primary determining faction in personal and organizational success has been superceded by a new understanding. This new understanding is the direct result of a change in human development paradigm in which a person is viewed in his/her totality. Hence, the emotional aspect of human development.

Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Management will be the bridging element between organizational visions and resources, and individual ability and aspirations.

Organizations of the future and organizations of the K-Economy will have to empower their workers with skills in emotional intelligence and emotional management apart from the other traditional empowering skills.

Training Methodology

Role-plays, case studies and exercises, presentation, discussions and lectures.

Resource Person

Dr. Edwin Varo holds a PhD. In Management and a masters degree in Total Quality Management. He is also a Lead Auditor for SIRIM specializing in ISO 9000 and a certified trainer for Management Development, Corporate Training & Development. Dr. Varo has conducted numerous training programs with many organizations such as Petronas Carigali, Colgate-Palmolive (M) Sdn Bhd, Maybank, UEM-Sedco JV and Dunlop Slazenger Group.
