Introduction

People in organizations typically spend over 75% of their time in interpersonal situations. Within an organization, interpersonal communication is opened to such situations as working together on a project. In our personal lives, interpersonal communication is opened to such situations as sports events, or parent-child discussions etc. Thus, it is no surprise to find that the root of a large number of organizational problems is poor communication.

Improving the interpersonal communication skills of your organization's employees means, improving their attitude and the way they perform their jobs. This, in turn leads to better working environment, teamwork, customer service and productivity.

Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be better able to communicate with people at all level more effectively.

  1. How their perception and behavior impact others and the ways others respond to them.
  2. How to communicate the appropriate visual, verbal and vocal message with better impact.
  3. How to improve their listening skills more effectively.
  4. Skills and techniques for handling any communication situation with greater flexibility, confidence and impact with supervisors, colleagues, subordinates and others.

Training Methodology

Course methods include lectures, individual exercises, small group discussions, role plays and presentation.

Resource Person

Taidin Suhaimin has 21 years of working experience. He has been a Professional Trainer/Speaker since 1994. He is the Founder and Managing Consultant of USAHAWAN GROUP Management Consultant, a Malaysian Human Resource Development & Training firm established in Kota Kinabalu in 1991. Since 1994, more than 100 corporate bodies and government agencies in South East Asia have attended and participated in his training programs. He graduated in Management Sciences (Marketing) in 1991 with a B.Sc. (Hons) from Lancaster University, United Kingdom. He also holds a Diploma in Public Administration from UiTM (1980).
