Abstrak

Tekanan di tempat kerja boleh menyebabkan depressi dan bertanggungjawab menyebabkan kejatuhan produktiviti dan taraf kesihatan seseorang individu. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidik tahap tekanan kerja, faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan tekanan kerja dan strategi yang digunakan oleh guru-guru prasekolah untuk mengurus tekanan tersebut. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa wujud tekanan di kalangan guru prasekolah kerana a) guru dipersalahkan jika berlaku salah laku atau pencapaian akademik yang rendah; b) beban tugas menyediakan bahan mengajar sendiri dan c) perasaan takut akan dimarahi oleh ibu bapa. Berdasarkan kajian, kesihatan mental yang baik memainkan peranan yang penting dalam menstabilkan emosi para guru. Kajian ini juga mencadangkan beberapa cara untuk mengurus tekanan yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru prasekolah.[Kandungan]

Strategies To Get Local Studies Coursework Submitted On Time

Abstract

This action research was conducted to overcome the problem of late submission of coursework and to assist my teacher trainees to complete their required coursework (kerja kursus) in the time frame of 9 weeks with maximum facilitation of 9 hours in class. Four different strategies were used to implement coursework in Local Studies (Kajian Tempatan), an elective subject. The result of this attempt were well received by my class and they managed to complete their coursework and submit them on time. On the whole, I found that the trainees benefited from these different strategies. [Kandungan]

Factors Facilitating Adult Learning - Perceptions Of Adult Learners And Lecturers Of Gaya Teachers' Training College

Abstract

This is a survey research conducted in Gaya Teachers' Training College in Sabah. This study attempts to find out the perceptions of adult learners and lecturers on factors that facilitate adult learning. Their perceptions are further linked with findings in literature to see the degree of concurrence. The research generally showed that the perceptions of adult learners and lecturers concur with what is in the literature. Nevertheless, there are some minor divergences. It is hoped that with the identification of factors that facilitate adult learning, it will help towards establishing a more positive learning environment for adult learners in this college .[Kandungan]

 

Evolution Of Cooperative Structures In Borneo

Abstract

This article is a reflective paper on my own experiences in using and innovating cooperative strutures like Jigsaw II, One-stay-three-stray, RallyRobin Reading, and Inside-Outside Circle. I will relate the difficulties I encountered that forced me to make modifications to the structures, thus producing variations such as Different Share, Sequential-Straying, Regulated RallyRobin Reading and Inside-Outside Carouse. I also share about classroom management signals that I have modified, like the Silent Signal to Silent-Clap Signal, and new signals like Home-Clap Signal dan Up-and-Going Signal.[Kandungan]
