Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary
Summary:
Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre was started in 1964 for rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned baby orang-utans from logging sites, plantations, and illegal hunting. The orphans are trained to survive in the wild and are released as soon as the orphans are able to live independantly in the wild. The sanctuary now covers 43 square kilometers, much of which is virgin jungle. It has become one of Sabah's top tourist attractions.Activities:
